“I have created a life by stepping out of the box of people’s limitations. I call it zigging when others are zagging.” ~Oprah
You have spring cleaned your closet, put some of your past to rest and realigned the priorities in your life, so now what? What would happen if you “stepped outside the box” and did something that you really didn’t think you could do?
Sometimes when we do all of “life’s housekeeping” we stop the momentum in mid-stream, thinking that we are done, sitting back and waiting for good things to happen. But are we really done? Why did we create all of this space if not to pursue something we crave and never had the courage to do?
Pushing your limits or moving outside of your comfort zone can do amazing things to your life once you get over your initial fear. Add change to the fear and you now have a combination that could stop Superman in his tracks. But you are stronger than the fear and you won’t listen, won’t second guess your choice, will keep moving forward enjoying the momentum of something new and wonderful. You will find that all of your work prior to this experience has prepared you well and now you are ready to enjoy the benefits.
I have always “zigged instead of zagging” doing things most people thought were crazy. Quitting my corporate job to pursue my own massage therapy business, buying a farm, learning to drive a tractor, writing this blog and now starting an intense writing course this month. I know for me, living my life outside of the box means no regrets or what ifs and that’s a great feeling!
Won’t you join me in this adventure we call LIFE! Let’s step outside our norm, kick it up a notch and see what awaits us around the corner. Let me hear about your “outside the box” plans for your life.
P.S. During the month of April, I will be taking the writing course so my posts may be a little infrequent. I hope you will continue to enjoy my past posts and I will be back soon. Thanks for all of your support!
