**“To find the balance you want you must keep your feet grounded so firmly on the earth that it’s like you have four legs, not two. But you must stop looking at the world through your head. You must look through your heart, instead. That way, you will know God.”** *~Ketut talking to Elizabeth Gilbert in “Eat, Pray, Love” *

I love the book, **[“Eat, Pray, Love”](http://elizabethgilbert.com),**not because it was such a popular book and got rave reviews but because it was an honest book, filled with despair, pain, love and a spiritual quest. Sound familiar?

I believe that we are all on a similar quest, seeking, longing and wanting truth. So as I read these words again, Ketut talking to Elizabeth, it really hit home,” *look at the world with your heart.”*  Sounds so simple doesn’t it?

Looking at the world without the judgement, guilt or the countless questions that we always seem to ask ourselves. Opening your heart and allowing it to be the first thing that gets the impression, takes in the information and “judges” the situation. Coming from a place of compassion and love, not just for the world but for ourselves. **How would that feel?**

When we look at the world with our heads, we *think* we are seeing it the same as if we were looking with our hearts. But our heads are always using the *filtering*system of**what if, that can’t be true or why should I see things their way?**Filtering is good sometimes, it can serve a purpose but don’t you **trust** your heart too?

It’s time for me to make this change along with the change of [letting go of some of my control](http://www.zenchick.com/2012/01/achieving-calm-energy/). Today I’m choosing to look at the world **and** my life with my heart instead of my head.

**What about you?** This week will you join me and choose to see the world differently? I would love to hear what changes you experience in your life when you view it with your **heart.**
