This past week, how many sunrises did you see?  Yes amidst the endless to-do list, errands to run and an inbox that always overflows, did you add sunrises to your list of must dos? Or better yet do you remember the last sunrise you saw?

We all get caught up in **“busy”**and it gets to be a bad habit. Yes there’s always lots to do and yes that will never end unless you change the way you deal with your “**busy”**habit.

Sunrises are a good place to start, making it a point to spend a brief moment of your morning enjoying the beauty and wonder of another day. [Henry](http://www.zenchick.com/2012/01/achieving-calm-energy/) and I always take time out of our morning walk to stop and just gaze at the sunrise. It’s a brief break in our routine and the benefits are well worth it.

I’m always amazed by the beauty and colors of the sunrise. So much so that I wish I could capture each one on film. But how do you capture the essence of the new day, a clean slate for you to write your life story anew? By just enjoying the beauty of a sunrise with a grateful attitude and** **putting all of your “**busy**” on hold for that moment.

Last week for me was full of “mini-crisises” and each morning I welcomed the sunrise, embracing the newness of the day. Yes some of those mornings were tough starts and I had my share of “**busy**” but each sunrise helped put things in prospective.

I invite you to spend time this week enjoying the sunrises and embracing with gratitude a new day. I hope that you will make it a **new habit** to start your day this way and put your “to-do list” on hold for a brief moment. Let me hear your comments on what sunrises mean to you.
