Clean Slate

By Gay Barefield Jan 2

Clean Slate

I love the month of January, it’s one of my favorite months. Why you may ask? Isn’t January the month where we really see what damage was done during the holidays, credit card bills, extra pounds and things like that?

Yes, that may be true but its also the time of year where we get to start over, change things we want to change and get rid of things that are no longer beneficial to us. No, I’m not talking about all of those New Year resolutions either, we all know that they don’t last very long and only stress us out in the end because we don’t keep them.

What I am talking about is seeing January as your Clean Slate, where you look at your life and decide what direction YOU want to take in 2012.

For me, this blog is one of my new directions. I want to share some of the wisdom that I have learned from my journey and from the work I do as a massage therapist, to help you simplify, slow down and REALLY live your life.

What about you? What direction will you take to move closer to living the life you love? Let me hear your comments.

    Gay,
I found your blog through a comment you made on The Minimalists. Good look with this! In regards to 2012, I plan to continue the gratitude journal I started last year. It really made me keep life in perspective, especially when things were a bit crazy.

Hey girl! I love it. I can tell my stress level going down as I read. I can’t wait to see what you post next. My thoughts on the clean slate is my favorite thing at school was a new pencil, freshly sharpened to start off the day, month , or year. A fresh start to creating what we can become. I love the pic of the clean slate….I’ll bring the pencils. Maybe colored ones!
